Due to new safety regulations, all visitors must be scheduled 24 hours in advance through their school office. All visitors must first pass a background check which can take up to 5 business days to process and view the Bullying Video on the district website. Visitors will not be permitted beyond the school office unless their name appears on the scheduled list of visitors.

We apologize for any inconvenience this policy may cause and hope that you understand that our intention is to provide the safest environment for students and staff possible.

Child Care - Friendship Company

A childcare program offered by Southwest Allen County Schools to assist working parents by providing supervised care of school aged children before and after regular school hours. Children enrolled in Southwest Allen County Schools K-5 are eligible to enroll in childcare services. Currently, childcare sites are located at Aboite, Covington and Whispering Meadows Elementary schools. Transportation is provided by the district to these locations if your child attends another elementary school.

ALPHA

The Southwest Allen County Schools gifted and talented program, ALPHA (Actualized Learning Potential Through Heightened Awareness), is for those students who demonstrate superior intellectual ability and potential for accomplishment so great that they require a variety of special provisions to meet their educational needs. In order to meet the needs of the intellectually gifted and talented students, an interdisciplinary elementary curriculum that is qualitatively different from the regular school curriculum by the degree of complexity of content, process, and product is being implemented. This differentiated curriculum is an educational response to the needs of gifted and talented students who are by their very nature more academically advanced than most children of comparable age.
